Increase Pilot Payout

Recommended Posts

Currently, a Pilot earns approximately $400+ per successful round-trip flight. You're tasked with getting a jet-powered aircraft filled with passengers to an outside airport and back in one piece, while sustaining no injuries to any of the passengers. Causing such forces you to forfeit any money earned from that entire flight.

If you are ever convicted of an felonies within the state, it is mandated that your Pilot's License (and Firearm's License) be revoked.

With the better aircraft you are given to complete a flight with, it takes approximately 6-7 minutes to complete a round-trip. After 2 successful flights, you are either going to have made less than, or just about match what a job at BurgerShot would net you. BurgerShot pays you $1,300 every 10 minutes, and this isn't including any of the profit you can make by actually making sales with customers.

After having completed 2 trips as a Pilot, you will quickly realize that you spent $1,500 for a license that can be quickly revoked by even an impersonation or battery charge, spent more time making ends meet than a fast food employee, and will come out no further on top than one.

Please make piloting a more worthwhile job than it currently is. I'm tired of landing a dual-engine jet on 200ft of runway at Grapeseed Airport for pennies.

Even if it was something like 800 dollars for normal and $1000 for the Titan or something like that so you can actually live off it. The thing is, I really love the pilot job and everything about it (except grapeseed but even then it has it's moments) but the problem is making it a specialised thing that you can actually make money from. 30 flights at 550 dollars each which is 16500 dollars, let's say that an average flight takes 8 minutes (generous) with a $1,500 license. 30 flights would take 4 hours meaning 16.5k every 4 hours in perfect conditions with no crashing or expenses.

In comparison, UPS deliviries pay an average of 550 dollars for short journies that take 4 minutes average with a 250 dollar license and the deliveries can be concurrent meaning more cash per minute each time this occurs as there is no need to go back to the delivery bay. So the average pay for 4 hours will be $33,000 or it would take half the time to make the money in UPS delivery than being a pilot. Despite one being a low skilled job that pretty much anyone can do and the other being a highly skilled job that requires a seperate license and being able to land and take off a plane.

Remember though, this is all hypothetical and some of my calculations of what the payout/time taken could be different depending on your experience of each job.

I strongly support this, seems like the pilot life is pretty neglected on this server. Already seen numerous bugs and it seems to be something that a smapp group of people really enjoy but it should still matter just as much. I'd like to see increased payouts and also jobs for your own personal aircraft and illegal jobs for aircraft too.
